Mission: 

The Gaspé Jersey-Guernsey Association is dedicated to the collection of artifacts, documents and other information relative to the history of the early settlers from the Channel Islands on the Gaspé Coast.In 1988 four interested persons began the work on what was the "Gaspésian Channel Islands Society" and the organization was incorporated in Jan 2002 as the Gaspé-Jersey-Guernsey Association with over 200 members from the Gaspé, Canada, the USA and overseas.

Physical Description: 

Archives housed in the Kempffer House Genealogical Room.

Collections: 

Extensive collection of genealogical records and reference books.

Special Activities: 

Every year on May 9th a celebration occurs in both Gaspé and Bonaventure counties to commemorate the liberation of the Islands from German occupation (1940-1945). Also, interested parties who wish to plan a trip to the Channel Islands can contact the association for more details and travel plans or guidance.

Publications: 

A newsletter is sent out to members 3 to 4 times a year by regular mail.

Fees: 

Regular membership: $10.00.
Benefactor membership: $20.00 or more.

Membership is renewable each January. The association accepts donations of articles, books, documents and artefacts.
