The Parc du Bourg de Pabos interpretation site was designed to offer visitors the opportunity to learn more about the lives of 18th century fishermen in the Gaspé.
Overlooking Grand Pabos Bay, the site is located 60 km from Percé and features a restored eighteenth century fishermen’s hut.
Animated fictitious excavations explain how archaeologists were able to trace the area’s history.
Visitors can also move among the ruins of the King Brothers Company, which was the forerunner of the Gaspésia Company in Chandler. The birth of logging in the Gaspé is also interestingly described at this site.
Depending on the weather and the tides, it is possible to visit Beauséjour Island, an idyllic site chosen by the seigneurs de Bellefeuille to establish their manor.
